Hi Y’all! Welcome to my new blog. I’m so excited, but if I’m being honest…a little nervous too. I’ve been writing a blog in my head for years, and now I’m taking a leap of faith and sharing it all with you! Thanks for stopping by.
I was born and raised in Tennessee. I love all things southern…nothing better than sweet tea and the SEC! You will find me cheering GoVOLS on Saturdays in the fall.
I live in Texas now…no idea how that happened. I’ve embraced it though! It is true, everything is bigger here. My husband and I are crazy busy raising our 2 boys. I am a boy-mom, no doubt. I’m constantly tripping over Nerf darts and LEGOs. My Saturdays are filled watching grass-stained, sweaty boys in one sport after another! I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I love being a speech therapist. I decided in middle school this is what I wanted to do after watching a movie about a boy who stuttered. That decision was solidified in college when my uncle suffered a traumatic brain injury. Watching his therapist give him back the ability to communicate was inspiring.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a vast population in numerous settings through my journey as an SLP. From pediatrics with feeding issues to elderly with dementia, it has all helped shape the therapist I am today.
I now work in a private practice serving a school-based population.
Life is good, God is good.
