New Year’s Goals In Speech Therapy

New
Year’s goals. Do you set them? I do. I’m a list-maker, so I like seeing what I
need to accomplish in writing…and
I L O V E checking things OFF the list.

Luke
2:52
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
To
me, there is no better verse to help me set goals in the main areas of my life.
Wisdom
– I often like to think of a professional goal. I want to be better organized
with my therapy files and materials. Maybe a trip to the Container Store is
needed…hmmmmm.
Stature
– Exercise. Confession…I actually enjoy working
out. I love pushing my body and I love the feeling AFTER I work out. What I
hate is finding time to do it and actually getting myself there. So, my goal is
consistency. I NEED to exercise, but I have to be realistic on the type of
exercise that I can actually manage in my busy life.
Favor
with God
– I love studying God’s word and understanding how I can apply it in
my life as a woman, wife, and mom. I personally like a good devotional or a
study on a book of the Bible. Do you have one to recommend for my 2016?
Favor
with Man
– Serving others. Whether it is making dinner for someone who has just
had a baby or donating to a charity. I think it is good for the soul to serve
others.
Do
you set goals?
I
have my therapy students write goals during the first few weeks of January.
It’s a great opportunity to also work on paragraph writing.
I
have a New Year’s Goal Writing FREEBIE to download in my store.
