Christmas Week in Speech Therapy

Monday, December 14, 2015
One week! One week until Christmas break! We can do it, #slpeeps!

So, typically this week at my school is crazy busy with parties, choir performances, Christmas play field trips, and other therapy interruptions- so I have to just go with it and be flexible with my scheduling.
So, how will I survive Christmas week in speech therapy?

First, I will be using the book, “How to Catch A Santa” and this FREE book companion from Simply Kinder, for my students working on vocabulary, reading fluency, and figurative language.
Also, I found two fun crafts I found from other SLPs on TpT that I will be using with my students who love crafty reinforcement:

For my articulation kids, I am using my go-to NO PREP Christmas articulation
Can you say, “life saver?” I will have them say the word, make a sentence with each word of a section and color a portion of the picture. I then ask them to use the last check space for homework.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday break. I am traveling to visit family in Tennessee and Georgia to celebrate Christmas.

JOY that will be for ALL the people. Today in the town of David, A SAVIOR has been born to YOU, He is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10

  1. I hope you have a great week and post pictures of those pom-poms!

  2. I've never heard of that book. Sounds cute! :)
